We organise upper secondary vocational education for young people and adults, making an important contribution to economic life and vocational competence in the Kainuu region. We operate on a nationwide basis and are active in international projects.
Development and internationality services are an important part of the service operations of Kainuu Vocational College. We follow and anticipate the developments in vocational training and react quickly to any changes. Development services facilitate the coordination and implementation of Kainuu Vocational College’s strategic development and quality assurance work.
The development service personnel maintain the functions required for development work, such as the project management system and financing processes, and plan and implement development projects.
Kainuu Vocational College plays an important role in the regional development of Kainuu.
The purpose of the college’s international operations is to provide the students and staff with opportunities of gaining experience of acting in an increasingly international environment.
The key part of our international operations is formed of on-the-job learning, and studying and working periods abroad. These are available to both students and staff, while foreign students studying at Kainuu Vocational College, visiting teachers, and other visitors bring internationality closer to home.
We also produce new learning and teaching materials and methods through various international cooperation efforts.
