We organise upper secondary vocational education for young people and adults, making an important contribution to economic life and vocational competence in the Kainuu region. We operate on a nationwide basis and are active in international projects.

Work is one of the most important things in life. Therefore it is best to choose a profession that you enjoy and that provides fulfilling moments. In the cultural field, studying is based on the professional requirements set by economic and working life. We cooperate closely with workplaces through on-the-job training and various joint projects.
Students provide the foundation for our operations. Our staff encourages all students to study to the best of their abilities and help them reach their goals as efficiently as possible. Our objective is that all students in the cultural study programme enjoy both their studies and their work. Life is not only something waiting ‘out there somewhere’, but includes every day spent studying in preparation
Cultural studies emphasise learning through projects and cooperation. Our philosophy is that anything worth doing is worth doing well.
